What are sacraments?
Sacraments are encounters with Jesus that help us grow in holiness.
What is the first sacrament that you can receive?
Baptism
What 3 things does Baptism do for us?
Cleanses us of Original sin,Begins a new life in Christ. Entrance into the Church
What part of the Trinity does the Eucharist center around?
Jesus
How does the Catholic belief of Holy Communion differ from other Christian faiths?
Catholics believe that the Eucharist is the very Body and Blood of Jesus.
What is transubstantiation?
The bread and wine used at mass become the body and blood of Christ.
What does Reconciliation do for us?
Healing and forgiveness of our sins. Gives us the grace to avoid future sin.
What are the 4 elements of the sacrament of Reconciliation?
Confession, Contrition, Absolution, penance.
What part of the Trinity does Confirmation center around?
The Holy Spirit.
How is Confirmation celebrated personally?
The person’s relationship with God is deepened
