Leviticus (19:8) = love the alien as yourself … welcoming foreigners and those you see as different

Luke (10:25-37) = love your neighbour as yourself followed by the Parable of the Sheep and Goats …. loving everyone, even your enemies

Exodus (34:6-7) = shows God’s qualities like God’s love as slow to anger, gracious and merciful. Our behaviour must reflect these qualities.

John (4:19-21) = it’s impossible to love God without loving humanity first.

Mainly through Jesus’ life and His death on the cross.

Because God has loved humans, we must first love God.

Christians are the guardians of the truth bc God has freed them from sin and death.

Instead, He has given them eternal life.

1 Samuel (12:24) = Israel is freed from captivity of Egypt… serving God is more important than serving powerful humans

Ephesians (4:25-27) = Christians might feel angry but anger must be directed at sin

It shouldn’t fester in the heart as the devil can enter.

Humans have an innate sense of right/wrong bc they’re made in the image of God

Conscience must be developed by the Bible and the work of the Holy Spirit.

Timothy (1:5) = the point of religion is to live rightly

Behaviour can’t ignore conscience.

Mustn’t lead to guilt.

Matthew (6:14-15)

Colossians (3:12-13)

You must forgive others in order to be forgiven.

Forgiveness isn’t easy but must be done.

You must forgive others as the Lord forgives.
