A mesopatamian creation story Tiamat was a tyrant, and her son, Marduk (and some other gods) decided to overthrow her. Marduk fights Tiamat and killed her. He smashed her skull and split Tiamat's body like a "flat fish." He made the stars images of great gods and "savage" (man) was made from the blood of Kingu (Tiamat's husband) and bone. Man was made to serve the gods so the gods could be at ease

The Story of Abraham and family and descendants (stopping at Isaacs sacrifice)

God told Abraham and Sarah to leave and go to a land that God would show them and made a covenant with Abraham. Abraham and Sarah and are childless. God told Abraham that he would have a son, so he took Hagar (Sarah's slave) and used her as a concubine. She became the mother of Ishmael, who was later sent away from the camp. Sarah had a baby Isaac, who was almost sacrificed by Abraham but saved by faith.

The Story of Abraham and family and descendants (starting after Isaacs sacrifice)

Isaac married Rebekah, whose kids are Esau and Jacob. Jacob, the younger son, tricked his father into getting the final blessing. Jacob was tricked into marrying Leah, and had to wait around to marry Rachel, who he actually wanted. Jacobs name is changed to Israel after wrestling an angel. Jacob has 12 sons, his favorite is Joseph, and his youngest son is benjamin.

The Story of Joseph (ending when he gets release from prison)

Joseph's brothers were jealous of him being Jacob's favorite, so they sold him into slavery. Potiphar buys Joseph, and his wife trys to chase him, trying to have an affair with Joseph. Joseph is put into prison. Jacob reads the dreams of a cupbearer prisoner and learns that he will be restored to his position in three days. The cupbearer later tells the Pharaoh about Joseph, and Joseph is released

Story of Joseph (Starting when he gets out of prison)

Joseph reads his dreams that there will be 7 years of surplus and then 7 years of famine. During the famine, his brothers come to him to buy food and Joseph purposely hides his identity. Joseph accuses them of being spies and makes them bring him, Benjamin. then Joseph tests the character of his brothers by hiding a silver cup in their bags. He sees that they have changed, reveals his identity, and invites his family to live in Egypt.
